On Sunday afternoon, March 15th, I held an open house at my listing at 5162 Windermere Avenue in Eagle Rock. The open house time was from 2:00PM to 5:00PM, and early in the morning I traveled through Eagle Rock, placing my signs at strategic locations throughout the area, hoping to lure even more people to my open house than already knew about it. from the moment the doors opened until the clock ticked five, there was a NONSTOP caravan of people coming through to check out the place. Young and old, they kept coming and coming and coming, about 250-300 people at LEAST. The general consensus was that everyone seemed to LOVE the house, and that it seemed to be priced excellently & priced to sell! Which is exactly what the sellers hope to accomplish real soon!!!
At the open house, I handed out some brochures on the property for sale, as well as provided some interesting literature for reading, such as an article on the history of Eagle Rock and the different types of architectural styles found in the homes in the area, as well as an informative article on the First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit.
Guests also seemed to love exploring the house, especially enjoying the coved ceilings and the recessed lighting set throughout the living room & dining room areas...
As the open house drew to a close, we finally had to sadly turn people away, as people continued to arrive at the front door even as we were approaching 5:30 PM and the sellers tried to get their two young children ready to wind down for dinner and bedtime...
All in all, a very busy and wonderful week starting with the open house..
